Olga Ornelas

Right after high school, Olga entered into the Management of Commercial Real Estate and has been doing that job for 28 years currently working for Swift Real Estate Properties as their Director of Operations for the NorCal and PacNW assets.

She and her siblings and are first generation born in the United States from Mexican parents who migrated in the late 60's from a small town from the state of Jalisco named Jalostotitlan. She grew up just a few blocks away from Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, and she and her husband have remained in the neighborshood. She remembers falling in love with theatre thanks to Father Mateo Sheedy. Her first job at 14 was in the parish office for 4 hours on Saturday mornings. She is thankful to Father Mateo and the many different things he did to help the children of this community.

Her family has been blessed with opportunities that have afforded them a comfortable lifestyle but they always remind their daughters that not everyone is so fortunate. They volunteer as a family helping the community at Sacred Heart Community Centre, Willow Glen Cares and Rebuilding Together. It has always provided her joy to help the community especially the younger generation.
