Roger Garcia

Roger Garcia was born and raised in East Chicago, Indiana, an industrial suburb located six miles from the Chicago city limits. He attended public school until seventh grade after which he attended Catholic School, graduating from Bishop Noll Institute in Hammond, IN. Upon graduation, Roger attended the University of Michigan College of Engineering, earning a degree in Materials Science. After receiving a Graduate Fellowship, he headed West to Arizona State University where he received a Ph.D., specializing in semiconducting materials.

Roger is an experienced Senior Engineering Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the information technology and services industry. As the son of a Mexican immigrant, Roger is passionate about the advancement of immigrant children in all areas of STEM. He has been active and has held several leadership positions in the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers.
